Let Not The Hatred Blind You.
By: Syed Umar Shams Shah
O’ ye my friend, listen to your heart;
And to its every thumping beat,
It will surely nudge your soul
Into the belief that we are all bound,
All humans of bone and flesh
And a sea of feelings attached.
Your soul is divine,
Let not the hatred blind you.
Look into the eyes of the man you harmed
He wasn’t your enemy but someone’s beloved.
His heart pumped blood just as yours
His emotions circled in his tiny little mind.
See oh errant soul!
Your hate has gotten the worst of you.
Hoodwinked and folded, it blinded your eyes
For you couldn’t see the misery of your fellow being.
Heart touching
Im glad 🙂
Listening to your heart is an art every body can’t afford to practice.
Yes, but the rewards of mastering this art are plentiful.
In a world that’s afraid to feel and express emotions, your work is refreshing and gives me hope that spirit, truth, and love still matter, and it is okay to speak from the heart. And thanks for liking my work!!!
Heartfelt thanks for a very encouraging coment. I believe in humanity and compassion and equality and I am sure there are millions of other individuals like you who share these values. The need of the hour is to grow strong 🙂
WHAT A NICE MESSAGE INDEED.
